i suppose i'm trying to avoid flipping my lecture notes after a good workout by updating my blog.
it's been two weeks since i last jogged and today i went out to jog for an hour. it's windy here in Heidelberg but today was simply glorious.
listening to worship songs in my mp3 player while running from my apartment along the Neckar river until the Oldbridge and back was a refreshing experience. i didn't really know what gets into me for jogging today even though i am gong to have my final exam this Friday. maybe i just want to spend some time alone worshiping my God, my Father whom i love.
For me, running is no longer a punishment for eating too much. Running is no longer the reason for me to burn more calories. Running is simply a time to reflect my life, to listen to what my God tells me, or to simply sing praises to Him who creates this world and who love me (and you) so much.
As His child, the time spending with Him was just filled with joy and peace. Even though I was soaked in sweat and rain, I felt absolutely satisfied, refreshed and energized.
if only i could describe the way the muscles of my body coordinated as i run, i could have convinced you that the body that you have is wonderfully and fearfully made.
maybe that is why i'm studying biology instead of physics or politics. The more that i learn about biology, the more that i am in awe of the God who creates this world and who breathes life to mankind.
time to go back to peruse my parasite notes......till then..ciao!!

Study Week: Altstadt Bibliothek
So this week is my study week in preparation for my coming final exam. A new destination for a productive study week is the Old Town University Library as shown in this pic:
the ambiance of this university is very 'european' and absolutely comfortable and beautiful

of course, Vash has to be happy and dress comfortably:
and not to forget her water bottles and colorful pens:

The cool thing about studying in the OldTown library is that it in the town center. so access to nice food is a piece of cake. here is me eating in a chinese restaurant with an ice-cream cafe behind me..

I have really nothing to complain about my life as a student here is Heidelberg..

indifference
i´m sitting in the computer room of the oldtown university library, trying to waste my time until 8.30pm.. sigh.. i´ve been here since 10.30am trying to force myself to study for my coming exam. it´s the first day of studying and i almost cry because i just want to sleep and not study!!!
i bet this feeling is just like the first time i engaged in exercise after a while of anergy. well i hope i will have a better stamina to study from tomorrow onwards. . ..
one more presentation on thursday and a final exam next friday and i´m officially done with my second semester...
so what´s my holiday plan? i am not very sure yet. probably gonna study while i do a germany trip or i´m gonna find myself a job.. but i prefer to study than to work..laziness!!
gosh..i´m so tired and i wish that i can go back and sleep.. but heck, i have to wait for my friend so that we can have dinner at the thai restaurant and wait until 10 pm for the castle illumination and fireworks....
.............vash is so tired from studying and she jst want to sleep and dance.. ...
talking about dancing, i have to miss the latin dance class because of this coming exam.. i think it´s a sacrifice worth making as i could boost my grade if i want to get a 1.0 for this semester..
anyway, i´ve another hour to spare and i better read some more before i call it a day...

My Kitchen is closed at 9pm
as an attempt to keep myself from midnight snacks, I pasted a note on the door of my fridge that says:
so far, i've behaved and stick to the rule. hopefully i won't break it anytime soon. Otherwise, i'll just ruin the effort that I made in the Tae Bo and BBP classes in the gym.
anyway, talking about food. I begin to learn eating a portion the size of my fist as it's exactly the size of my stomach. At first, it's difficult to imagine myself eating that bit. Eventually i begin to enjoy every single bite of my food knowing very well that I have only a small amount to satisfy my hunger. I actually enjoy it and loving the feeling of flat abs after each meal.

Big Girl don't cry....Fergie.
So my dear friend recommended me to a nice lady-dentist two weeks ago. She did an X ray scan of my mouth and it turned out that i have three wisdom teeth that are, unfortunately, NOT IN GOOD CONDITION..
in short, i have to have them pulled..
but since, my lady dentist is so nice, she recommended me to a trusted surgeon. I went to him this Monday and had two of my wisdom teeth pulled out in just 5 minutes without me realizing it..(which means i have one wisdom tooth left that i'm gonna do tomorrow morning.. )
Indeed, He's really a GOOOOOD surgeon.. because it didn't hurt much
well..except for the lush of blood that kept oozing out of my mouth a few minutes later.. hehe..
it scared the hell out of my dear friend who saw blood coming out of my mouth while i tried to laugh at his jokes.

And on Saturday, Putt came and visited me.. Putt, who did his Europe trip, came to my place for his last stop before heading back to Msia... We went out to a BBQ with Sam and his friends by the Neckar River.. Putt effortlessly snatched the attention of all the chinese girls by his skill with the guitar..

Then on Sunday, we went out to a German restaurant for a dinner while watching a football game.. Brian and Sam tagged along and we had quite an evening watching an extremely boring game between italy and spain..
Overall, i had a great time with Putt and the boys.. I'm enjoying my life here in Heidelberg.. time to go back to some parasites journals which i need to read for my tutorial tomorrow . :/

where did i go?
well, after about a month of laziness, i finally decided to update my blog as i'm greatly motivated by my pastor back in NBC who starts his own blog ..
at first i really lost interest in blogging because i don't feel the significant of it.. i read some blogs and they are like hypocrites who boost about their own achievements or seek for sympathy.. well of course, i shouldn't generalize and not every bloggers do that..
my dear pastor is blogging to update us about his life and use his blog to direct us to God.. i feel engulfed in his passion to spread God's love and what He's doing via every means possible.
anyway. here's a glimpse of my life over the past few weeks of absence from the cyberworld..
First of all.. this is my new boyfriend...;P

Nah...mom, don't get heart attack as i'm just joking!.. he's stephan, a post doc in the lab where i work as a student assistant.. he's the coolest person i eva met and have wonderfully manicured fingernails painted in red!! gosh, he even has longer hair than me.. :) don't be deceived by his look, he's actually a medical doctor and just recently switched to a HBV (hepatitis B virus) researcher in our lab.. he's a great teacher too!.. but unluckily, he's always got caught by the police officers for ID check up.. ahhaha...
and this is Yi, a PhD from China.. his wife is also a PhD and both of them have very cute lil girl whom i'm going to meet this sunday evening.. i can't wait to grab a hold of her before she left for China with her grandmom.. i'll post some photos of that cutey after i visit her this sunday...

and my darling boys, Zhang Zi, Sam, Jerome, Brian, and Kee Yie brought me out to a tour around Mannheim a few weeks ago .. we even went to a wonderful chinese buffet restaurant and enjoyed nice sushi.. talking about sushi.. i actually made some last week.. here's a pic of it...
my first sushi making in Germany.. looks professional eh?? hehe.. i'm darn proud of it.. and i gave it to my lovely sis, Long Yun the last time i visited Stuttgart for a last farewell with the church..

and here's a pic of Phoebe, who's doing her thesis in Heidelberg. I brought her to my favourite Korean restaurant in Heidelberg and enjoyed a nice Bulgogi (korean BBQ beef),...
